We built Quantum because the explanations were the problem
Life insurance is not complicated because the products are clever. It is complicated because almost nobody explains what each one gives up. Quantum Family Wealth exists to close that gap: to help families work out what they actually need, see the real tradeoffs, and then have someone still answering the phone in year ten.
The problem we are trying to solve
Households are not underinsured because they do not care
They are underinsured because the information they were given was incomplete, and because nothing brought them back to it. These are the four failures we see most.
01
The explanations are built to sell, not to teach
Most life insurance material is written to move someone toward one product. When the limitations are missing, a person cannot tell whether the thing being recommended actually fits them.
02
People decide once and never look again
A policy bought at thirty is still sitting there at forty-five, with the same coverage amount and the same beneficiary named on it. Life moved. The paperwork did not.
03
Nobody explains what a policy does badly
Every type of coverage trades something away. Term ends. Permanent costs more per dollar of death benefit. Cash-value policies can fail if they are underfunded. Those are the facts that decide whether a policy still works in fifteen years.
04
The follow-through is where it falls apart
Placing a policy takes weeks. Owning one takes decades. Beneficiary updates, funding checks, address changes and claims are the unglamorous half, and it is the half most people never get help with.
How we approach it
Education first, and it is not a slogan
Everything useful on this site is in front of the form, not behind it. The calculators, the product pages, the glossary and the comparison tool all work without giving us your email address. That is deliberate.
A person who understands their own plan makes a better decision and keeps it longer. A person who was talked into something cancels it in year two, which is bad for them and bad for us. So we would rather spend the first conversation teaching than closing.
The test we hold ourselves to: by the end, you should be able to explain your own plan to your partner without us in the room. If you cannot, we have not finished.
Every product page lists the limitations
Not as fine print at the bottom. As a section with a heading, the same size as the advantages.
The tools run before we ask for anything
You get the number first. Whether you tell us who you are afterwards is up to you.
We say when something is outside our lane
Tax questions go to a CPA. Legal drafting goes to an attorney. We will tell you which is which.
Nothing here is an approval or a quote
Estimates are estimates. The carrier decides eligibility and price after a real application.
Plainly stated
What we are, and what we are not
This is the part most agency websites leave vague. It should not be vague, because it changes what our advice is worth to you.
What we are
- An independent life insurance agency. We are not tied to one insurance company, so we can place business with several carriers and compare them.
- Licensed insurance producers. Licensed life insurance producer. Florida resident licence G072138, National Producer Number 21000409.
- A service relationship that continues after the policy is issued — reviews, beneficiary checks, carrier paperwork and claims support.
What we are not
- Not a bank. We do not hold deposits and nothing here is a bank account.
- Not an investment adviser or a broker-dealer. We do not give investment advice or sell securities.
- Not a law firm and not a tax adviser. We do not draft legal documents, give legal advice, or advise you on your taxes.
- Not owned by, and not speaking for, any insurance company.
How we are paid, since you should know
We are paid a commission by the insurance carrier when a policy is placed. You do not pay us a separate fee for the conversation, the calculators or a policy review. The commission is built into the product pricing by the carrier, and it varies by product and by carrier — which means the products that pay us most are not automatically the products that suit you best.
We would rather you knew that up front and asked us about it. If you ever want to know how a particular recommendation is compensated, ask, and you will get a straight answer.
Who we work with
Different situations, the same starting question
What are you protecting, for how long, and what would happen if it were not there? The product comes after that.
Young families
One or two incomes, small children, and very little slack. The question is usually how much coverage is enough and how little it can cost.
Parents with a mortgage
A deadline you can point at. The coverage needs to outlast the loan, and the amount usually needs to cover more than the balance.
Business owners
What happens to the business, the partners and the family if an owner is lost. Key-person coverage and buy-sell funding, with your attorney and CPA involved.
Contractors and the self-employed
No group plan, no employer coverage, and income that moves month to month. Coverage has to be portable and it has to survive a slow quarter.
High-income professionals
Often already covered for less than they assume, and often shown a cash-value policy without being told what it costs in flexibility.
People researching permanent coverage
Anyone who has been handed an illustration and wants a second, calmer read of it — including whether a simpler option would serve them better.
People who think a health condition rules them out
Sometimes it changes the price or the carrier. Often it changes less than expected. Not asking is the expensive choice.
Existing policyholders
People who already own coverage — from us or from anyone else — and want to know whether it still does what they bought it to do.
Families who need wills and trusts
People whose beneficiary designations and estate documents have quietly stopped agreeing with each other. Legal work is done by a licensed attorney, not by us.
If you are not on this list, that does not mean we cannot help. It also does not mean we can — sometimes the right answer is a referral somewhere else, and you will get that answer quickly rather than after three meetings.
Service standards
What we commit to, and what we will not do
We do not publish testimonials until we have written permission and the required disclosures on file. Until then, hold us to this instead.
What we commit to
- Explain what a product does badly before you decide, not after.
- Tell you when the honest answer is “not yet”, or “what you have is fine”.
- Show you real carrier numbers, with the charges and assumptions visible.
- Say plainly when a question needs an attorney, a CPA or your doctor instead of us.
- Confirm your beneficiary designations line by line, every year, for as long as you are a client.
- Keep servicing the policy after it is issued — address changes, forms, carrier calls, claims.
What we will not do
- Invent urgency. Rates do change with age and health; we will say that once and then leave it.
- Promise approval, a rate, or a guaranteed outcome. Only the carrier decides those, after underwriting.
- Tell you to cancel coverage you already own before new coverage is actually in force.
- Ask for your Social Security number, bank details or carrier password by email, text or web form.
- Publish a testimonial, a client count or an award we cannot evidence with a signed record.
- Sell your personal information.
How we work with clients
Four steps, and none of them start with a product
You can stop after any of them. Nobody will chase you for the next one.
- 01
Understand what you are protecting
A conversation about people, timelines and obligations. No product names yet, and no application.
- 02
Narrow to two or three real options
With the tradeoffs of each stated plainly — including the option of doing nothing for now, which is sometimes the right one.
- 03
Go through the numbers together
Actual carrier figures. If an illustration only works at an optimistic crediting rate, you will see what happens at a conservative one.
- 04
Apply, and then keep servicing it
Application, underwriting, delivery. Then annual reviews, beneficiary checks and service requests for as long as you own the policy.
The long game
The value shows up in year three
Almost anyone can sell you a policy. The difference shows up later — when a beneficiary needs changing after a divorce, when a cash-value policy needs more premium than the original illustration assumed, when a carrier loses a form, or when a family has to make a claim and does not know where to start.
That is the work we are actually organised around. Annual reviews are scheduled rather than hoped for. Beneficiary designations get read out loud, line by line. Documents live somewhere your family can find them. None of it is exciting, and all of it is the reason a plan still works in fifteen years.
What ongoing service actually means
- A yearly review. Coverage amount, beneficiaries, funding and anything that changed in your life.
- Carrier paperwork. Address changes, payment issues, rider questions and forms — handled with the carrier rather than forwarded to you.
- A funding check on permanent policies. Whether the policy is still on track to last as long as you bought it to last.
- A record your family can find. Which carrier, which policy number, and who to call.
- Claims support. Walking the people you named through what to do, at the worst possible time for them.
Important information
Educational information. The information on this page is general and educational. It is not insurance, tax or legal advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy, keep, change or cancel any policy. Your own situation may lead to a different conclusion. Please talk with a licensed professional before acting.
Product availability. Products, riders and features are offered by the issuing insurance company, not by Quantum Family Wealth. Availability, names, costs and terms vary by carrier and by state, and can change. Not every product described here is available to every applicant.
State availability. Products are only offered where the producer and the issuing carrier are licensed and the product is approved for sale in your state. We confirm licensing for your state before any application is submitted.
Tax and legal information. Quantum Family Wealth does not provide tax or legal advice. Tax treatment depends on how a policy is structured, whether it stays in force, your individual circumstances and applicable law, all of which can change. Please consult your own qualified tax adviser and attorney.
Start wherever it is easiest
A four-minute calculator, a page about one product, or a conversation with a person. All three are free and none of them commit you to anything.
