Accessibility
What we have built into this site, what we know still gets in the way, and how to tell us when something does not work for you.
This policy is being reviewed and may change. It describes how the site works today and has not yet been finalised. If anything here matters to a decision you are about to make, please ask us and we will tell you where it stands.
Version 0.1.0 · Draft
Last updated: 2 September 2026
Status: Under review. No independent audit has been completed.
Quantum Family Wealth wants this site to be usable by everyone, including people who browse with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, or reduced motion turned on. Buying life insurance is already stressful enough without the website being an obstacle.
The standard we build to
We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. That is the target we design and review against. We are not claiming certified conformance, because an independent audit has not yet been carried out, and saying otherwise would be exactly the kind of claim this site exists to avoid.
What has been done
- Keyboard support throughout. Every menu, tab, accordion, dialog and form control can be reached and operated without a mouse, and a skip link takes you straight to the main content.
- Visible focus. Focus indicators are deliberately strong rather than removed for looks, so you can always see where you are.
- Contrast. Text and interface colours are chosen against the AA contrast thresholds in both the light and the dark surfaces the site uses.
- Semantic structure. Real landmarks, one
h1per page, headings in order, and lists and tables marked up as lists and tables rather than styled boxes. - Reduced motion. Animation respects the operating system’s reduced-motion setting, and no essential information is conveyed only through movement.
- Accessible progress and results. Multi-step tools announce their progress and their results politely, so a screen reader user is told what changed rather than left to discover it.
- Accessible tables. Comparison tables have captions and row headers, and wide tables sit in a focusable scroll region so they can be scrolled from the keyboard.
- No colour-only signalling. Status is always carried by text or an icon with a label as well as by colour.
- Touch targets. Interactive controls are sized to meet the AA target size requirement rather than shrunk to fit a layout.
What we know is still a problem
- The scheduling embed. Booking uses a third-party Calendly widget. We do not control its markup or its keyboard behaviour, and it has not been audited by us. If it gets in your way, contact us and we will book the appointment for you by phone or email instead.
- PDF documents. Some documents, particularly carrier illustrations and policy paperwork, are PDFs produced by insurance companies. Their tagging and reading order are outside our control. We will provide the content in another format on request.
- No independent audit yet. Everything above has been built and reviewed internally. Until an external audit is done, treat this as a statement of intent backed by specific work, not as a certificate.
Reporting a problem
If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, please tell us. A short description of the page, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using is enough for us to work with.

We aim to acknowledge every report within a few business days — we have not committed to a fixed window, and we would rather say so than publish one we might miss and to tell you what we intend to do about it, including when a fix will take longer or sits with a third party. If something blocks you from getting information you need, we will give you that information another way in the meantime.
Keeping this honest
This page will be updated as things are fixed and as new problems are found. If a commitment above stops being true, it comes off the list rather than staying up for appearances.
