Free tools

Answers first. No email gate.

Every tool here gives you the whole result on screen before it asks you for anything. None of them need your email address, none of them are applications, and what you type stays in your browser unless you choose to send yourself a copy.

Four questions

Start with the one you actually have

Each of these does one job. None of them replaces a conversation, and each one says plainly where it stops.

About 4 minutes

Coverage calculator

How much coverage might fit.

What you get
A range rather than a single figure, with every component shown as its own line and explained in plain English. You can change any assumption and watch the range move.
What this is not
It is not a quote and not an application. What a policy actually costs depends on the carrier, the product, your health and your state.
About 4 minutes

Policy fit assessment

Which kinds of policy are worth exploring.

What you get
Two or three paths worth looking into, each with the reasons it appeared for you. Real situations rarely have one right answer, so we do not pretend otherwise.
What this is not
It is not a recommendation, a suitability determination or a product name. It is a shortlist of things to read about and ask about.
About 1 minute

Policy structure calculator

Where your monthly payment actually goes.

What you get
The same payment built three ways — protection focus, balanced, build-up focus — with how much goes to paying for the cover and how much is left to build up under each one.
What this is not
It is not an illustration. It does not project what a policy would be worth later, because that number comes from the insurance company and arrives with a guaranteed column beside it.
About 3 minutes

Approval path estimator

Which underwriting process may apply.

What you get
A sense of whether a medical exam is likely to be part of it, and what a carrier usually looks at. Health answers in this one never leave your browser at all.
What this is not
It is not an approval, a decline or a rate class. Only an insurance company decides that, and only after a formal application.
About 3 minutes

Estate plan readiness

What is already in order and what is missing.

What you get
A picture of where things stand, what is already in good shape, and an organised checklist of topics to take to a professional.
What this is not
It is not legal advice and it does not tell you which documents you need. Which documents suit you depends on your state and your situation.

Your information

How we use what you enter

Short version: mostly we do not. These tools run on your own device, and the useful part never sits behind a form.

Nothing is required
Every tool shows you the full result on screen first. There is no step where the answer is held back until you hand over an email address or a phone number.
Answers stay on your device
What you enter is kept in your own browser so you can close the tab and come back to it. It is not sent to us unless you ask us to email you a summary.
Health answers never leave the browser
The approval path estimator asks about broad health categories. Those answers are used to work out your result on your own device and are never posted anywhere, never put in a link, and never sent to an analytics provider.
If you do ask for a summary
We send the plain-English summary lines you can already see, not your raw answers. Asking us to email it is not permission to market to you — that is a separate, unticked box.

Important information

Educational information. The information on this page is general and educational. It is not insurance, tax or legal advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy, keep, change or cancel any policy. Your own situation may lead to a different conclusion. Please talk with a licensed professional before acting.

About this estimate. This tool produces a general estimate from the figures you entered and simple assumptions you can adjust. It is not personalised advice, an application, an underwriting decision or a quote. Real numbers depend on the carrier, the product, your health and your state.

Underwriting and approval. Nothing on this site is an approval, a decline, a quote or an offer of coverage. Eligibility, your rate class and your final premium are determined by the insurance company after you submit a formal application and it completes its own underwriting review. Carrier rules differ and change over time.

Do not cancel existing coverage. Do not cancel, lapse or reduce coverage you already have based on anything you read here or on any estimate produced by these tools. Replacing coverage can have real costs and you may not qualify for new coverage. Talk to a licensed professional before changing an existing policy.
